Curb Appeal Important in November

At this 'grey' time of year. make sure the homes you have listed have an attractive entranceway. On the porch, a dried evergreen topiary or brightly coloured seasonal display will make the house stand out and be welcoming. Try to make the house look tastefully different from the others on the street.

Make sure gardens and lawn are raked and as tidy as possible. Clean debris from around and under shrubs and hedges. Try to hide those large garbage & recycling containers if they are in the front yard, at least for Open Houses and showings.

We often remind clients that these visits by potential buyers are very short, and it is important to "put your best foot forward" for these few minutes. remember, "you never get a second chance to make a good first impression" !!

NOW, MORE THAN EVER...

Some expressions are modern, but overused and annoying, like the one above. However, it rings of truth when explained....

In the current market, you need EVERY TOOL available to help home owner's sell their home. You know the competition is fierce. You need your sales representative to advertise on mls.ca of course, and put up a sign, and perhaps be brave enough to place an ad in a paper or R.E. flyer. But don't forget the most important advertising .... the home itself.

A home must have great curb appeal and a "WOW" interior - now more than ever. It has to be better than ALL the other homes in the same category and range. You guarantee that by making it SPARKLE and SOOTHE, and by making it WARM and INVITING. That is the job of a great home preparation consultant, or stager.

When you think staging, call Joan at Elements Redesign. She is a successful professional who has worked exclusively with sales representatives for over 10 years.
